We are situated in between the World Heritage rainforest areas of the Daintree and Cape Tribulation National Parks and the Great Barrier Reef. This is a unique location for a youth hostel. Everyone is welcome at the Crocodylus village, and will enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere. Our jungle restaurant provides beautiful homely meals. Being in a remote area, we generate our own electricity and have our own general store. There are miles upon miles of sandy beach which can be reached on our bus service for free! Fremantle Prison Cottages

The three self-contained cottages are situated in the grounds of the old Fremantle Prison and were built from stone quarried on site by the convicts in 1857, to be used as accommodation for the wardens of the prison. In 1994 the cottages were completely stripped back to their original condition, and renovated in such a way that preserved their colonial features.
Since setting up accommodation in the cottages in 1996, we have furnished them in the colonial style with Western Australia antique furniture from the period. Several modern luxuries have been added, with each cottage fully equipped with television, video, microwaves, laundry facilities, modern kitchen and bathroom with full-length bath. One cottage is also fitted with facilities for the disabled. The cottages have received a 41/2-star rating from the AAA.
