Deep inside the Daintree Rainforest at Cape Tribulation,
Rainforest Hideaway offers affordable accommodation in a unique, owner-built,
solar-powered house with handcrafted timber furniture, tapwater from a
mountain stream, no mobile phone reception and regular visits by wildlife,
including two cassowaries.
This piece of paradise lies hidden away in the worlds oldest
rainforest and within walking distance of Cape Tribulation "town"centre,
breathtaking beaches, National Park boardwalk, restaurant, bar and shop.
Surprisingly, the nights are mosquito-free!

Located a 20 minute walk from a paradise beach
Cape Tribulation is where the rainforest meets the reef
and it is surrounded by two World Heritage sites; the Daintree National
Park and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
There is a wide variety of activities such as snorkeling/scuba-diving,
guided walks, 4WD safaris and crocodile cruises available to explore this
very special part of our planet and therefore a stay of at least two or
three nights is recommended.
Ofcourse you can also take it easy and laze on the paradise beaches, relax
on your verandah with the sounds of the rainforest birds, spot some of
the abundant wildlife or refresh in the spa rockpool.
We have a fire place to dry things in the wet season and warm us in the
winter.
Cape Tribulation is situated in the heart of the Daintree
National Park, 70 km. north of Port Douglas, 150 km. north of Cairns and
can be reached by door to door bus services or normal car, the road north
of the Daintree river is now sealed all the way to Cape Tribulation.
