Amazing Australian
Bus Trips

Halfway between Cairns and Darwin in the Gulf of Carpenteria

Instead of traveling from A to B on some boring coach or plane and then booking a tour again on arrival, why not combine them! There are many buses that will take you on one-way trips around Australia, stopping regularly to enjoy the sights, spend the nights camping in the bush under magnificent starry skies or colorful outback pubs, make friends along the way and actually enjoy getting from A to B !

Adelaide to Perth

nullarbor plain adelaide to perth

Crossing the Nullarbor is a mind blowing experience. The vast distance between the two cities of Adelaide and Perth makes for one of the world's greatest road journeys. Until 7 years ago travellers had little choice but to cover the 2800 km between Adelaide and Perth (nearly two thirds of the Australian continent!) by train, plane or express bus. For too long travellers whizzed across this vast landscape, experiencing a long and boring journey. Only a few knew what was out there, the secret places that lay untouched and undiscovered !
DAY 1: Our adventure begins north from Adelaide. Depending on the weather conditions we include a bush walk in the Southern Flinders Ranges. If it's not too hot we bush camp next to an inland salt lake. Otherwise we opt for more driving today so we can camp near the beach where we can have a refreshing swim.
DAY 2: After a short drive we board the M.V. 'Investigator' for a 4-5 hr cruise (own cost at $80 inc. GST). It's a relaxing day viewing and swimming with dolphins and Australian sea lions, fishing and a scrumptious lunch on board. A short drive brings us to our overnight accommodation on a local farm. More info and bookings....

This awesome adventure also runs in the other direction from Perth to Adelaide....

Ando's outback tours - 5 days - a family run operation, we specialise in venturing away from the well-worn tourist route of the east coast for a fair-dinkum hands on experience of the “uncommercial” Australian outback. We travel in small, personalised groups in a laid-back manner stopping off at tiny towns along the way (some you won't even find on your map!). The many locals you will meet throughout the trip are mates of ours who look forward to our weekly visits and enjoy sharing their bush tails and genuine hospitality. If your idea of travel is to get off the beaten track, meet the locals and get amongst it for a first hand taste of our country and culture we guarantee you the experience of a lifetime. Look forward to seeing you there!! Contact via email

Surfaris - 5 days - invented the remote area learn to surf format and have been running since 1994. We run every week of every year. We will take you on a surf seeking pilgrimage between Sydney and Byron Bay. The route follows that blazed by the Sydney surfers in the early 60's following the introduction of the Malibu surfboard into Australia and is the same route followed by Sydney surfers today.
