Ferry to Tasmania
The ferry from Melbourne does not go to Hobart but lands on the
north side of Tasmania, but you can take your car on the ferry
and drive down to Hobart from there. More

Getting around Hobart:
Airport transport
If you arrive by plane, there are two options for the
twenty minute trip into the City. The airport shuttle bus is $9.70 one
way, or $18.00 return. Taxis are approx. $32 weekdays and $37 weekends.(2005
prices).
