Crocodylus

We are situated in between the World Heritage rainforest areas of the Daintree and Cape Tribulation National Parks and the Great Barrier Reef. This is a unique location for a youth hostel. Everyone is welcome at the Crocodylus village, and will enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere. Our jungle restaurant provides beautiful homely meals. Being in a remote area, we generate our own electricity and have our own general store. There are miles upon miles of sandy beach which can be reached on our bus service for free! Thornton Beach Bungalows

We offer comfortable beach front accommodation just 20 metres from stunning Thornton Beach with the world's oldest rainforest (135 million years old!!) as a backdrop. Cape Trib Exotic Fruit Farm

Two private cottages on the edge of private World Heritage Rainforest in an exotic fruit orchard. This is a special B&B experience for people who are looking for something different.

The cottages are very private, pole framed, located adjacent to the creek, designed to enable cooling breezes from the forest.

There are self guided walking trails, so you can explore the rainforest on your own.

Breakfast is a sumptuous two course meal which is served on your verandah. It is based around the farm's own produce, and includes a tropical fruit platter.

The farm includes a rare tropical fruit orchard of 2000 fruit trees and more than 150 species which come from Borneo, the Caribbean and the Amazon, and these are farmed organically, using a permaculture philosophy. The farm is a certified organic farm. More info and bookings....

Coral Sea Views

Coral sea views is set on one hectare of landscaped gardens, with a sparkling swimming pool and two unique private timber chalets, each with a bedroom and queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom. An open plan lounge with a double size futon leads onto a balcony with hammocks. Both chalets have stunning views of the Coral Sea and rainforest. A tropical breakfast is served in the entertainment area overlooking the pool. There are no telephones or television to disturb your relaxing environment. No hustle and bustle of sightseers, but close enough to all the area has to offer.
